Tips for surviving with your Mac

If you feel like you're going to be wrecked aboard your Mac, here are some tips to get you afloat:

  1. Turn off the computer once a week.

  2. Clean the desktop and trash, try not to keep any files there.

  3. Upgrade the operating system to the latest version (High Sierra), and keep it always updated.

Update your computer to High Sierra

There are users in the school who have their MacBook Pro computers in the same operational system that was used three years ago. This might be the reason for internet connectivity issues, difficulties airplaying to the Apple TV, some applications not working, and general security issues. Please update your computer, so these issues can be ruled out. Your computer should be now in High Sierra. If you need assistance let the coach of your section know. (Camila Villaveces -Preschool, Catalina Ospina - Primary, David Osorio - Secondary)

Beware of Kahoot Smasher

There are websites users can use to sabotage Kahoots. They can be found under the "Kahoot Smashers" category. There is also a Chrome extension. Those malicious sites are being blocked from the Internet Server, but this is just a heads up, if your Kahoot appears to have hundreds of "fake users" or bots. If this happens in your classroom, please be aware it can only be done by a user that knows your pin code.
